Active Energy Ukraine

Welcome to Active Energy Ukraine

Active Energy Ukraine, situated in the Ukraine is a leading provider of biomass to the European market. With access to a large supply of high quality feedstock, experienced forestry team and modern processing facilities, Active Energy Ukraine are well positioned to supply Polish, Ukrainian and EU clients with raw materials, logs, wood chips and pellets.

Biomass currently accounts for around half (44 to 65%) of all renewable energy used in the EU. Biomass meets 4% of the EU’s energy needs (69 million tonnes of oil equivalent (toe)). The aim by the EU is to increase biomass use to around 150 million toe, providing a significant opportunity for biomass imports from the Active Energy Ukraine site in the Ukraine to the EU and specifically Poland.

"At Active Energy Ukraine we aim to provide security of feed stock supply, consistent high quality biomass and access to sufficient wood chip and pellet stock. We are currently growing exponentially with contracts supplying wood chip into European power stations. We are looking to form further partnerships over the coming year to capitalize on the assets we have available."
